Odd Sundays New Season Kicks Off

“odd sundays at molly’s” has a Friday/Sunday double bill, at Molly’s Coffee House on 554 Queen St for a fabulous kick-off to a fabulous season!

Friday, September 5, 8pm Kate Story, novelist with musician backup (www.katestory.com) Sunday, September 7, 2pm, Jo-Anne Elder-Gomes, poet, translator, gg nominee ( http://www.bookfinder.com/author/jo-anne-elder/)

Friday’s event showcases Featured Reader, Kate Story, a Newfoundlander from Ontario—dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, novelist—who will be reading from her first novel, Blasted. Come for magic, music and mayhem, with Kate Story, onstage with three musicians, and a whole lotta talent.

Sunday’s event showcases Featured Reader, our own Jo-Anne Elder-Gomes—literary artist, academic and nominee for the Governor General’s Award for literature—reading her poetry.

Open Set: Bring a poem or short piece of fiction to read to an eager audience. (What a blast to be able to say you read on the Blasted tour, with Kate Story.)

Call for Submissions: Consider submitting your work for possible inclusion in open set, an odd sundays chapbook. Speak with allison calvern, or eMail her with your submission: acalvern@nbnet.nb.ca
