AGM PROGRAMME - April 7, 8 and 9, 2006 Fredericton, N.B.

Celebrating 21 years

Friday April 7, 2006.
6 – 9 p.m. Sienna Room, BrewBakers, 546 King Street, Fredericton.
Come and have a beer or dinner and then, at 7 p.m., celebrate the work of WFNB members who have published a book in the interval between the 2005 AGM and the 2006 AGM. Authors will be invited to launch their work with a three minute reading. Please fill in the registration form you received by email or in NB Ink if you would like to participate.

Saturday April 8, 2006
All events will be held in the Upstairs Assembly Room, Fredericton Public Library, 12 Carlton Street, Fredericton.

10-12 noon Workshop with Kathy Mac
“Figurative Language in the Poem, Poet, Poetry”
N.B. Coffee will not be available in the morning session.

12-1:30 p.m. Lunch. Information will be available on local eating spots.

1p.m. – 4:30p.m. Stop by the Board Room, main floor Fredericton Public Library, where you can buy books by authors participating in the AGM. This is a free service provided for those registered for the AGM. Attach a sticky note with the price of your book, rounding off to the
nearest dollar. Drop copies to be sold off at the Board Room after 12:30p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Annual General Meeting, WFNB

2:30-3 p.m. Literacy Presentation

3p.m. – Coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit in the downstairs Board Boom.

3:15 – 5 p.m. Workshop with Beth Powning. “Remembered Places, People, and Times – Using Memory to Create Literary Non-Fiction”

WFNB Awards Banquet:

6:30 p.m. Join ”Honoured Guest” M. Travis Lane at The Palate Restaurant and Café, 462 Queen Street, Fredericton.
Curious about what it takes to win a literary prize? Come and see for yourself while you catch up with old and new friends in the writing world at the awards banquet.

The Palate will greet attendees with a complimentary glass of wine.

Bring your coffee and your writings and share them (the writings, not the coffee) with fellow scribes.

2006 AGM early registration fee members $40/ non-members $50 (before March 15)
2006 AGM late registration fee members $50/ non-members $60(after March 15)
2006 Banquet fee $40 per person
